A fixed-fee patient advocacy service that helps clients leave or repair a difficult therapy relationship and complete a supported handoff.
Added Aug 4, 2026
Clients who feel uncomfortable, angry, or unsafe with a therapist often cannot tell whether to discuss the rupture, pause treatment, or leave. The emotional difficulty of confronting the therapist combines with practical work such as finding a replacement, explaining preferences, transferring records, and avoiding a gap in care.
Offer a nonclinical transition service that documents the client's concerns, prepares a conversation or termination message, identifies replacement criteria, and coordinates introductions and record transfers with consent. Licensed clinical partners handle situations requiring clinical judgment, while trained patient advocates manage research, communication, scheduling, and follow-through.
Repeated requests for help ending therapy indicate that ordinary therapist directories do not address the transition itself. The service can launch manually using established patient-advocacy practices before investing in technology.

NAT If you can recall how the previous therapy sessions went, write down how ideas came up. How you and the therapist approached each topic, and how you felt about your new awareness. Check for a pattern. Now think about your last session. How did the breach in boundaries come about? Now write down what you feel about what they said, and how does it impact on your overall experience of yourself ? If you are satisfied with the answer, Then decide whether to take a break from therapy. Or just continue on. I think it’s best to take a break. But if the therapist was being rude then tell them. Sometimes they just talk crap. Push back.
